A charitable food vendor hands out hot omelette and rice meals to the city's poor in Bangkok.

Footage shows the good Samaritan Kreetha Ornlamyong on his custom motorbike as he stops to give packed meals and drinks to the homeless.

Kreetha travels every day from his home to different districts to sell snacks and hot meals from his food cart.

But every time he sees people sleeping on the roadside or little children with their mothers asking for small change, he will pull over to feed them.

Kreetha said: ‘I was a market vendor but I had to find another way after it closed during the first year of the pandemic in 2020.

‘I needed to survive, so I bought a small cart to sell omelette rice for only 20 baht (0.47 GBP). Everyone was struggling during that time, so I made my price is low and they could until they are full.'

The kind man added he shared his food with the impoverished and homeless.

He said: ‘I opened Rod Ta Kra Pan Suk to sell omelette rice and share it with the impoverished and homeless. From the first year of Covid-19, three years have passed since I started and I never stopped.'

Kreetha said he noticed more homeless people were eating from trash cans during the height of the pandemic and that bothered him.

He said: ‘They had to eat for their survival. When I had an opportunity, I decided to use social media to spread the word about my food cart.'

The vendor would carry rice, instant noodles, canned fish, and medicine on his cart and shared it with anyone who asked.

He said: ‘The food made them happy. There are some who ask me ‘Where have you been? I thought you had abandoned me. Don't abandon me.' I think my cart is making a difference.

‘I am not rich and I don't have a lot of money but if I have an opportunity, I will do my best.'
