An amusing video has emerged from China of people dressed up as traffic lights and actually directing traffic after the real signals broke.

The footage, captured on Tuesday in Hebei, shows the human signal box standing in the middle of a cross roads.

The two people then turn the box around, letting cars know when they can go and when they can't with green and red signals.

According to local media reports, the real traffic lights have been broken for a month, which has caused a large number of accidents.

As no one knows when the lights will be replaced, some youngsters made the box to help the traffic.
