A 12-storey residential building collapsed in southern China.

The dramatic video was filmed in the city of Dazhou in Sichuan Province on April 11.

Thankfully, officials confirmed that no casualties were reported after the building came crashing down.

According to reports, the building had been rated as a dangerous structure by the county's housing and construction bureau in October 2022.

Following the assessment, all 21 households with a total of 66 occupants were evacuated from the premises by Dongxiang Street authorities, who subsequently erected safety perimeters around the area.

Repair work was scheduled to commence at the end of 2022 but has been temporarily suspended due to adjustments in the construction plans.

宣汉县委宣传部门介绍：当日11时40分许，东乡街道石岭大道13号原西北食品综合楼房屋（地上10层、地下2层，面积2100平方米）发生垮塌，经县公安局和东乡街道核实，未发现人员伤亡。
据查，2022年10月，该楼房由县住建局牵头进行了鉴定，结论为C级危房。鉴定后，东乡街道将该楼房住户21户、66人全部搬离，并设置了警戒线。2022年底，维修施工队伍进场，近期因施工方案调整，暂未施工。
