Dashcam caught the moment a metal roof flew off a truck and smashed into an oncoming vehicle's windscreen, leaving the driver with neck pain.

Footage captured on dual carriageway Cassia Veientana in Rome on April 6 shows the moment the roof swung off the truck and landed onto Mattia A's car.

The entire windshield caved in from the impact and another clip shows the severe damage done by the loose sheet of metal.

Mattia escaped the incident with just a pain in his neck.
