A kind driver saved a dying baby owl he found suffering from heat stroke on a road in Thailand.

Ben Tanadorn Buddhawonde was traveling along a mountain path when he spotted the tiny creature twitching on the ground in Phetchabun province on April 12.

He pulled over and found the bird was weak and could barely move. He gave it CPR and blew air into its mouth before taking it with him to his car to let it rest.

Footage shows the tiny owl being held in front of the air conditioner. After about five minutes of resting, the bird regained its strength and could stand up again.

Ben said: ‘I thought the bird was dead but when I touched it, it was still warm. I did CPR and fortunately, the creature responded.'

He added that the owl seemed to have heat stroke - with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius - so he took it to the car to cool off.

He said: ‘I contacted the wildlife agency to help me. I think it is still weak because of what happened. It couldn't fly.'

The bird was named Phongsin and Ben is waiting for advice from wildlife officers on how they should handle the creature.
