Monkey thief caught stealing from tourist’s purse at beach
A monkey thief was caught stealing from a tourist's purse at a beach.
The primate found the bag lying on the sand while a woman was taking selfies on the stunning island in Thailand on November 4.
Upon realising what was happening, the holidaymaker rushed to take her belongings, but the defiant creature appeared to punch the woman.
Footage shows the panicked island-hopping tourist competing with the monkey for her bag before the annoyed macaque attacked her.
She said: ‘The monkey went ballistic on her. It was scary and funny at the same time.'
