'An actual Fairytale' - Woman surprised with a 'Dream Proposal' in a villa in Aruba
Life is full of surprises and Courtney Durkin can't be more grateful for it.
This endearing clip shows Courtney being surprised with a wedding proposal in the same country where she first sensed a spark with her soon-to-be husband back in 2008.
Having no clue about A. the proposal, and B. about her partner being in town, Courtney is beyond overwhelmed with emotion and excitement.
"Even though we went to the same high school, we didn't truly meet each other until 2008 Spring Break in Aruba," the bride-to-be told WooGlobe. "Despite an immediate spark, our connection became a distant memory as we were both in other relationships and continued them for the next two years.
"After those previous relationships ended, we found our way back to each other and eventually I asked him to be my prom date.
"We then dated for 10 years and would go back to Aruba with our families almost every year until work became too busy for him.
"Except in 2021, he did make it to Aruba. I thought I was on a vacation with my parents and sister. My mom told me we were doing a family photoshoot. But when I walked in, it was a private villa on the water, with him standing in the doorway."
She went on to describe the moment in question as 'more than a dream!'
