This footage was filmed and produced 16 April 2023.

Women and LGBTI+s, who came together in Istanbul's Kadikoy district with the call of the "Women Strong Together" group, expressed their demands for the 14 May elections.

Women who said that they would overthrow the government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan on May 14 wrote what they wanted to change in the election on a piece of cloth they had laid on the ground. Among the "things to change" written on the piece of cloth are issues such as harassment against children and women, and attacks against Kurds.

During the action, a letter dedicated to all women in Turkey was read. The action ended with dances and slogans.

Translation:
[0:49 - 1:32] Nazli Andan read the press release on behalf of the "Women Together Strong" group:
"Enough is enough for our labor to be exploited more and more every day, for working more precariously at workplaces, for children to be harassed and oppressed in the dormitories of cults, for our lives to be narrowed down by religious policies. We also know that the 2023 election process we are in is very critical and that not everything will be resolved by an election. Our rebellion for an equal and free world is too big to fit into the elections. But we do not intend to sit at home and watch what is going on, and leave our will and representation right on the tables."

[1:59: - 2:50] Zeynep Demirkol read the letter dedicated to all women in Turkey:
“We are in rebellion against those who attack our lives, against those who want to imprison us in violent houses, against policies that exploit our labor and pave the way for rent. We invite you to grow this rebellion with us and to establish a new world with this rebellion. We know that you also rebelled against those who withdrew from the Istanbul Convention. You are also angry with those who made the Law No. 6284 on the Protection of Women an election material. You, too, are rebelling against the AKP-MHP government's coveting our alimony and paving the way for male violence against women and LGBTIs by saying, "Enough is enough." We all know the crimes they committed during their rule, we know how they attacked our rights. We know how they acquit child abusers by saying "nothing will happen once", their cult dormitories, misogynistic policies, hate speech, corruption and all their crimes. We do not forget any of them."
