Pet owner picks mites from bird's head using pair of tweezers
A pet owner picked mites from a bird's infected head using only a pair of tweezers.
Wisut Krongyut found the parasites crawling around the hill myna Phungchai's head in their home in Trang province, Thailand on February 20.
The infestation was so bad that he thought of pulling the insects off one by one before the treatment takes effect.
Footage shows Wisut manually ridding the creature of the itchy organisms.
He said: ‘Phungchai had the bird mites from the nest. I felt so bad when I saw there were so many.'
The bird was given medicine and checked by the vets afterwards and has since made a full recovery.
