A pet Siamese cat refused to come out of a refrigerator on a hot day.

Nine-month-old cat Thirdee climbed inside the cold shelves when his owner took drinking water from the fridge in their home in Cavite, the Philippines, on March 24.

But Thirdee's owner had to negotiate with the feline as he didn't want to leave the spot as the temperatures outside were more than 35 degrees Celsius.

Footage shows Thirdee pulling his limbs away from his owner while meowing as she asks him to come out.

His owner Angeli Laxamana said in the video: ‘He was so cute. He wanted to sleep inside the refrigerator because of the day's weather.'

The Philippines weather bureau announced the start of the country's warm and dry season last month, which will last until May. The country recorded its highest heat index of 46 degrees Celsius last month in the province of Occidental Mindoro.
