A quick-thinking restaurant owner caught a heavy glass door moments before it hit customers in central China.

Terrifying CCTV footage filmed in Zhengzhou City in Henan Province on April 12, shows a glass door suddenly falling off a restaurant when customers were dining outdoors. The restaurant owner, Mr Li, was quick to react and managed to grab hold of the door before it hit anyone.

According to Li, the door was installed by the landlord and he had only closed it normally when the screws came loose, causing the door to fall off.

Fortunately, no customers were injured. But Li did injure his arm in the process of stopping the door, which weighed at least 25kg.
