Governor Ron DeSantis faces hostile reception at The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.
On 19th April, 2023, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis visited The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank in Washington, D.C., USA. However, he was greeted by a crowd of protesters who held up signs and chanted slogans critical of his policies and leadership.
As captured in a video clip shared on social media by @travisakers, the scene outside The Heritage Foundation was tense and noisy, with some attendees trying to push through the protesters and others shouting back at them. The placards held by the demonstrators expressed various grievances against DeSantis.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is a potential Republican candidate for president in 2024, faced both applause and protest at a policy discussion hosted by a pro-DeSantis nonprofit group on Tuesday evening at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.
According to reports, DeSantis was the keynote speaker at the event organized by And To The Republic, a Michigan-based organization founded by GOP strategist Tori Sachs to support DeSantis's candidacy. Credit to: @travisakers
