Music show stage blows over during sudden storm in Thailand
This is the dramatic moment a music show stage was blown over by strong winds during a sudden storm in Thailand.
Dramatic footage shows powerful gusts whipping through a concert venue in Buen Kan province on April 20. The wind damaged scaffolding, stage displays, and music equipment.
Bass, one of the concert performers, said their number had to be cancelled due to the damage the storm had caused.
Onlooker Phakdee Phonlam, head of the Mor Lam Rhetorical Arts Faculty that organised the show, said: 'I took a video to record how the stage collapsed. We couldn't salvage the equipment on time because the wind was so strong. The damage caused was probably more than one million baht.
'Despite the incident and damaged items, the show will be pushing through today.'
Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are approaching their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
