Rattlesnake in a Gate! I lifted the gate mechanism cover to reset the driveway gate and discovered a four foot long rattlesnake tangled up in the gears, still alive!
I pulled up to my driveway gate, it started to open and then got stuck. I got out of my truck and went around to the side gate so I could remove the two foot gate mechanism cover and reset the gate switch. Once I lifted the cover and backed away I saw the four foot long rattlesnake tangled up in the gears, still alive! I can't believe I was so close to it!
