A speeding truck carrying paint products overturned and exploded on a highway in Uzbekistan. The driver died and six people were injured.

The incident occurred on the 259th kilometer of the international road Tashkent - Osh, on the Kamchik pass at 11 am local time on April 6.

This CCTV footage shows the dramatic moment the bottom part of the vehicle overturns leaving the truck flipped upside down. A few seconds later, a fire with huge flames erupts.

Firefighters and squads belonging to the Ministry of Emergency Situations rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze in 25 minutes. A section of the highway was temporarily closed.

On April 6th, 2023, a truck carrying paint products overturned and exploded while driving in Uzbekistan. The incident occurred during the day on the 259th kilometer of the international highway Tashkent - Osh, on the Kamchik pass. The truck had been speeding while descending from the pass when it overturned and exploded. The products from the semi-trailer spilled onto the asphalt and instantly caught fire.

At around 11:10 am, as a result of the collision, the truck caught fire and hit three other cars. Fire and rescue squads from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene of the accident and extinguished the fire within 25 minutes. During the extinguishing process, one side of the pass was temporarily closed.


According to preliminary information, six people were injured as a result of the accident and were hospitalized in the nearest medical facility. After the fire was completely extinguished, it was discovered that the driver of the truck had died in the cabin.
