A fast-fingered pickpocket allegedly stole a tourist's wallet while grabbing his crotch during the Thai Songkran festival.

The unidentified woman wearing a bunny ears headdress and holding a water gun, approached a group of Taiwanese revellers during a street water fight in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 20 evening.

She began flirting with one of the men, Allen Lee, hugging and feeling his pants as he appeared embarrassed with his friends teasing him.

But after the fun street party, Allen realised his wallet was missing. He checked his friend's video of the incident which points to the woman who had groped him being the main suspect.

Footage shows the alleged thief holding her water gun as she embraced Allen. She was seen subtly feeling down his pants and following him around even as he pulled away.

When she finally let Allen go, she was seen holding something behind her back and slipping it behind her skirt.

Allen said: ‘I am angry over the incident. I didn't realise was had happened until afterwards.'

The tourist lost his credit card and wallet containing 18,000 baht (420.44 GBP) in cash. His card statements reported that it had been used three times in different 7-Eleven stores to purchase food and drinks worth 5,046 baht (117.86 GBP).

With the help of his Thai friend Namota Sapakavata, the incident was reported to the police but was told that Allen should personally come to the police station to make an official complaint.

He said: ‘Our report was denied because I had to be there personally but we believe progress will be made once we find surveillance footage from the convenience stores.

‘I hope the suspect can also clear her name by coming out to give her side of the story.'

Allen said he would still visit the tropical country despite police still failing to find the suspect.
