An off-piste skier fell down a deep glacier cliff in La Grave in the French Alps in April 2022. Luckily, he was part of a team of experienced skiers and they were able to pull him to safety.

The Powtos are a group of outdoor enthusiasts based in Grenoble, France, who love mountain biking, hiking, climbing, skiing, and other outdoor activities. On the day of the incident, they were doing a lot of descents and having a great time. However, things took a turn for the worse when one of their friends got caught in a crevasse at the last moment and fell in.

The group of friends had a lot of experience and were well-prepared for such situations. They all had the necessary equipment, including a probe, shovel, ARVA (an avalanche transceiver), harness, ice screw, and ice axes. The fall was about 15 meters, but thankfully their friend was able to stop before hitting a large boulder.

The group was a bit lower than their friend, so it took them about 15-20 minutes to reach him. During this time, they were all worried about his condition and unsure of what had happened. But they quickly sprang into action, using their skills and equipment to secure the area and bring their friend to safety.
