Cal Fire responded to reports of a solo vehicle crash into a pole with possibly two ejected in San Jacinto, Riverside County in the early hours of Tuesday, April 25.

The crash took place near the intersections of Soboba Road and Lake Park Drive.

Arriving crews located a dark colored SUV with major damage crashed on the right side of Soboba Rd just west of Lake Park Dr, at the intersection in front of the Soboba Casino entrance.

Two victims were located ejected from the wreckage. One of the victims was declared deceased on scene by paramedics, the other was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies cordoned off the area as a crime scene and shut down the roadway in both directions poending the conclusion of the investigation.

It’s unknown at this time what caused the crash or if alcohol or drugs were a factor. The condition of the victim transported to the hospital is unknown at this time.
