"This happened during a race, on the last corner before the final stretch to the finish line," Reinis explained to WooGlobe. "I missed catching grip with the front wheel and went straight into a tree."
While the abrupt crash, and that too during an action-packed show, must have been a deflating experience, it can't be denied that failure is the best teacher.
So, as long as Reinis makes sure the same botch doesn't happen again, there's nothing stopping him from climbing the ranks of mountain-biking enthusiasts.
