A beauty queen used fake nails as an alternative to teeth veneers during her pageant.

Anurak Inthuprapa didn't have enough time to visit the dentist as the competition drew near in Samut Prakan province, Thailand.

With the help of her friend and nail technician, Anurak pulled off the perfect smile for the Miss Elephant pageant.

Footage shows Anurak opening wide her mouth as her friend glued acrylics to cover her real teeth on April 12.

The artificial nails were filed in shape and dried using a portable ultraviolet light lamp.

Anurak said: ‘It was my secret beauty queen life hack. When you join these pageants, there is never going to be enough time for everything so you need to have backup plans.'
