Heartwarming cultural exchange: Ghanaian dance artist welcomed to Russia with cognac shots by father-in-law
This video shows Yoofi Greene, a Ghanaian dance artist, welcomed to Vladivostok, Russia, with alcoholic shots by their father-in-law, Andrei Volynchuk.
Yoofi and his wife Evgeniya Volynchuk, also known as Jane, have been together for a while. Yoofi had never met Jane's parents, so they travelled to Vladivostok for the first time together.
Yoofi and Andrei embrace one another in the video; they enjoy each other's company and consume alcoholic shots.
Andrei is not impressed when he notices Yoofie trying to drink some apple juice as he struggles to keep up with the continuous drinking. Yoofie even points out the difference in the quantity of alcohol that they're consuming, with Andrei being more in quantity.
During the encounter, Yoofie states: "I think it feels good for him (Andrei) to have a son.
To which Andrei replies: "Oh yeah."
Yoofie also told Newsflare: "I felt very loved and welcomed. So much love was shared since he (Andrei) only has daughters, and being his first son felt good. We bonded very nicely."
At the end of the video, Andrei is visibly impressed and pleased with the pronunciation of their Russian surname and that Yoofi added Andrei's name after his own.
This video was filmed on April 10.
