Tensions flared at a drag show event in Fort Worth on Sunday, leading to the arrest of three individuals in Fort Worth, Texas on the 23rd of April 2023.

A group named "Protect Texas Kids" gathered to protest the event at the Fort Brewery and Pizza, while a group of counter-protesters assembled across the street.

Fort Worth police monitored both groups using city cameras. Around 12:50 p.m., 20-year-old Samuel Fowlkes from the counter-protest group approached the "Protect Texas Kids" demonstrators and sprayed them with pepper spray.

When officers attempted to arrest Fowlkes for the alleged assault, he initially resisted but was eventually apprehended after a scuffle. Christopher Guillott, 33, another counter-protester, was also arrested after allegedly hitting an officer in the face with an umbrella. A third counter-protester, 37-year-old Meghan Grant, attempted to rush past officers to reach Fowlkes and Guillott and was subsequently arrested for not following orders.
