Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were on the scene of a blaze at a recycling centre in Ilkeston late on Wednesday night (April 26).

On-the-ground footage shows smoke billowing from the building and firefighters at the scene of the blaze, which took place at Stanton Recycling on Crompton Road.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted: "23:30 We currently have 6 appliances and 1 Aerial Ladder Platform in attendance at a building fire on Crompton Road, Ilkeston. Residents in the area are advised to keep windows and doors closed due to the smoke plume. This incident is likely to be protracted."
