For most people, a 'you're on fire' remark would indicate they are doing a brilliant job. However, for one of the racers in this video, it was a warning.

This head-turning clip features two cars engaged in a high-stakes, fast-paced drift race.

Both drivers took it upon themselves to slay the competition and bag the victory. However, one of them came in a bit too hot, so hot their ride got cooked (literally).

"It was this guy's last chance of the season to rank and do good in the league," the filmer, Nicolas Pelletier, said while talking about the driver in the burning car. "Some mechanical issue happened and his tire caught on fire, but he decided to go all-in and finish the run!

"He won the round, and then in his next battle, the craziest thing happened: His motor went up in flames! Thankfully, no one got injured."
