Authorities from Czechia, Finland, and Hungary arrested 13 human traffickers who forced over 400 women into sex slavery.

Europol collaborated with European police counterparts to identify 90 victims, leading to the discovery of a criminal organization that advertised female victims as sex slaves online, mainly Czech women. The traffickers made over EUR 3.3 million by coordinating the transportation of victims to countries like Finland.

The victims were forced into non-stop sexual labor and were often controlled by call operators who managed their profiles and schedules. Some victims were used to control others, and some even became active members of the criminal organization. Women from Hungary and Romania were also discovered as victims. Criminals extorted large parts of their savings and used threats and violence. The traffickers were mostly trafficking the victims to Scandinavia, and over EUR 200,000 and various luxury items were seized during the arrest.
