Image of a female soldier carrying a sleeping toddler from Sudan went viral on Twitter. The soldier was part of a Saudi Defence Ministry operation to evacuate foreign nationals. The evacuees included nationals of various countries. Netizens praised the soldier's kindness and care for the toddler.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it had evacuated around 2,796 people from Sudan, including 119 Saudi citizens.
