The spring flood of the Sozh River in Gomel, Belarus, brought about unprecedented challenges for many families in the area. Houses, plots, and access roads were flooded, leaving people stranded and isolated. However, for one family with their American Bully dogs, they were able to overcome the challenges with preparedness, resourcefulness, and love.

In a video filmed by @letsgotomekennel on 19th of April, 2023, a resident of Gomel, their four American Bully dogs and her husband can be seen entering their home with knee-high water. As the floodwaters surrounded their home, the family was forced to adapt to the situation quickly.

The dogs, being an integral part of the family, had to be taken care of. The smaller ones were carried like babies, while the larger ones were let outside to go to the toilet. Before the flood, the dogs would walk on a piece of land near their home. However, once the water rose, there was nowhere for them to walk except inside the house.

For about two weeks, the family and their dogs lived through the flood. They had to wade through waist-deep water to get to the nearest road. Despite the difficulties, they remained positive and focused on staying safe and healthy. The family's love for their dogs was evident, as they made sure to take care of them during this challenging time.

Fortunately, the floodwaters eventually began to subside, and everything started to return to normal. The family was able to resume their daily activities, and their American Bully dogs were able to walk and play outside once again.
