In a shocking incident that took place on the outskirts of the village of Belaya Kalitva in the Rostov region, Russia, a man almost drowned in a river near a destroyed dam. The incident occurred on April 25, 2023, and eyewitnesses were quick to call for help.

The man was reportedly crossing the remains of the dam that was built back in Soviet times for a power plant that was never built. The destroyed dam still attracts citizens as it provides a means to cross the river. However, in some places, it requires crossing waist-deep water.

When the man reached a particularly deep section of the river, he began to choke on water and quickly started to drown. The eyewitnesses believed that he would not survive and called for the rescue team. The rescuers arrived promptly and pulled the man out of the water.

Despite the severity of the situation, the man survived, leaving the local residents amazed and grateful that he made it.
