Selfie-takers get carried away shaking cherry blossom trees to make it 'snow' for social media posts in London's Greenwich Park
Selfie makers, social media posters and family snapshots takers visited Greenwich Park's famous cherry tree-lined path during the long Bank Holiday Weekend (April 29).
Visitors can be seen admired the pink blossom in front of the trees, taking in the beautiful scene.
Others took a more direct approach as they were filmed and took photographs of themselves, shaking the branches vigorously to make the petals fall and helping themselves to the flowers by snapping them off - which have caused outrage recently in China when videos emerged of individuals doing the same presumably for social media posts.
In the space of 35 minutes, when this footage was filmed, a dozen or more people pulled off flowers, snapped twigs and shook the trees.
A shocked couple present attempted to intervene and ask people to stop touching the trees, telling the filmer that there 'would be nothing left if they carried on'.
