10 ft long python was released from a chicken coop after preying on local livestock in Indonesia
A 10-foot long python was found eating chickens in a local cattle shed in Indonesia.
Footage filmed in Bukik Gombak village, Batusangkar, West Sumatra Province, at midnight April 28, shows the Batusangkar Fire Department's Animal Rescue Team entering the chicken coop carrying clamps.
A huge python can be seen curled up in the corner of the cage. Even though there is prey it just swallowed in its stomach, it's still aggressively trying to fight the man who will catch it.
But an experienced man caught the python's head, then, with their hands wrapped around it, the officers brought the snake out of the chicken coop.
Heri Suharmen, the owner of the chicken said, that night the chickens ran to the terrace of the house.
"We checked using a flashlight around the terrace, then to the side and found a snake in the chicken coop rolling the chicken," Suharmen said.
He then asked for help from a neighbor who was used to catching snakes, but because the snake was big he didn't dare so he reported it to the Fire Department.
“This is the second python to enter the cage and eat the chickens. First before fasting a month ago, then the female python was bigger and more aggressive than the first one," Suharmen added.
The snake, which allegedly came from the fields about 150 meters behind the house, was put in a sack and then taken away by the Animal Rescue Team.
