Thousands of nurses and National Health Service (NHS) workers from across the UK took to the streets today (May 1) to demand better pay and working conditions. They marched to Trafalgar Square, bringing central London to a standstill, as negotiations with the ministers of health have stalled.

The Royal College of Nurses (RCN) led the protest, with its members carrying banners and chanting slogans. Many nurses and health workers expressed their frustration and disappointment with the government's lack of action on their demands for a pay increase.
