Nurses strike: Hundreds join march in London for higher wages during 28-hour nurse walkout
As nurses across England participated in a walkout on Monday (May 1), hundreds marched in central London to demand higher wages for nurses.
The march began outside St Thomas' Hospital and crossed Westminster Bridge to Trafalgar Square.
Demonstrators chanted, "Hey Rishi, you're so tight, you're so tight you make us strike!" in a dig at the UK's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Other chants included, "Who needs nurses? We all need nurses!" and "Claps don't pay the bills".
