An urban explorer has shared incredible footage of an old, abandoned mansion which appears to be filled with hunting gear and prizes.

Yannik is an urban explorer who tours the world's most bizarre and unique abandoned properties.

The business and economics student has travelled to the likes of France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia and Egypt, and has come across some horrifying buildings that have been left to rot for decades.

He recently went viral after sharing a video of a castle in rural France that looks like the old, hunting owners up and left, leaving everything behind.

In a clip shared on Instagram, the 21-year-old from Germany, reveals the outside of the castle, which he visited in January, in a dark setting surrounded by brambles and bushes.

“It was on a cold winter evening that we decided to take our car and drive four hours to the location,” Yannick said.

“It was -15 degrees outside and the clock said 3:00 am.

“My friend and I were both completely frozen.

“It was so hard to enter the property because it had a big fence, but once we did, we realised it was an abandoned hunter's mansion with everything left behind.”

Inside, the property is laden with debris and dust, but the belongings of its former owner have been left behind – from statues and books to animal heads and stuffed foxes.

Clips show a vast entrance hall, with dead animals, a long staircase and a bookcase.

In another room, dragon statues, stuffed owls, and dead otters can be spotted — signs that whoever lived there, was a collector of the animals they killed.

One old, dusty room contained a huge, green sofa, and an enormous dining table suitable for hosting parties with many guests.

The bedrooms can then be seen covered in mould, but with bed sheets, picture frames, and ornaments left behind.

“And after searching for some documents we found out that the place has been abandoned since 2001, and that all the hunters of the village used to meet up in this mansion,” said Yannick.

“It was like a place where they all found the time to be together.

“There were all these stuffed animals and also a dragon statue, which made it so creepy.

“We also didn't want to spend so much time in it, although it was an insane time capsule.

“I really could imagine how the hunters once sat there and talked about their prey.

“The scariest part was the hallway with the big tower and all around stuffed animals like a big head of a wild boar.

“Every step upstairs was so noisy and creepy and completely dark.

“Just the light of my flashlight helped me to see all the creepy stuff.”

The clip of the castle has since gone viral after he shared it on Instagram, garnering 62,400 views and over 2,600 likes with one user saying it looked “sad”.

Ola said: “So sad! It's such a mighty place.”

Yhonny added: “Why is it abandoned...what a shame for a house like this.”

“Beautiful, only if it was filmed during the day, everything would be better visible,” someone else said.

“Nothing a good cleaning can't solve. I'd live there easy,” wrote someone else.

“It's really something beautiful,” commented another fan.
