In a video filmed on May 1, a falling tree hit the boardwalk at the entrance of the Heishangu scenic area in Chongqing and visitors were seen crawling from aside a stream onto the broad walk which collapsed not far from them.

Three tourists were reportedly lightly injured.

According to the staff of the local tourism bureau, the scenic spot resumed normal operation on the same day and the fallen trees did not affect the safety of the boardwalk.

The cause of the accident and the extent of the injuries are still under investigation.

The video was provided with local media’s permission.

5月1日上午11时50分许，重庆万盛经开区黑山谷景区索道入口处，树木从山腰滑落砸中栈道，有游客疑似受伤。据万盛经开区文旅局相关工作人员回应，事发时有3位游客受轻伤。此外，黑山谷景区工作人员回应称，景区已经于当日恢复正常营业，掉落的树木并未影响到栈道安全。目前，事故原因及人员受伤情况正在进一步调查核实中。
