In the video filmed in a hotpot restaurant in Lintao, Gansu province, a woman threw a small hotpot onto a man sitting across the table from her, causing the soup to splash on nearby customers.

Later an employee of the restaurant responded to the incident, saying that the two people in the video were just friends and the woman was angry over an disagreement.

But since the woman did not turn on the heat of the hotpot earlier, the soup was not hot, and no one was injured.

Nearby customers only had some oil splashed on their clothes and shoes. Other customers called the police, who arrived after the incident was already resolved. The local police station staff said that the matter had been dealt with, but did not disclose any further details.

The video was filmed on April 29 and provided with local media’s permission.

4月29日，甘肃定时临洮一家火锅店内，一女子端起小火锅，泼向同桌男子，火锅汤还溅到旁边的客人身上。5月2日，店内一名工作人员回应称，视频中的两人并不是夫妻，也不是情侣，只是普通朋友。他们不知道两人因何事起了矛盾，女子这才泼了火锅，因为女子吃火锅时并没有开火，所以那锅汤并不烫，没有人受伤。邻桌客人只是衣服鞋子上被溅到了一些油。其他客人报警后，民警赶到店内已处理完此事。火锅店所在的辖区派出所工作人员表示，此事已经处置完毕，具体细节不便透露。
