A suspension bridge suddenly collapsed in the ancient town of Panjin, northern China, injuring two tourists.

Video footage of the incident shows the bridge's steel pipe towers at both ends, with the bridge made up of steel cables, wooden planks, and protective nets, suspended approximately three metres above the ground.

As the bridge collapsed, some visitors were unable to dodge in time and were crushed underneath it, with others suffering head injuries and bleeding. A witness said: "I had just walked across the bridge when it collapsed. It was so frightening."

According to the staff at the scenic area, two tourists were slightly injured, and the issue has been resolved. The scenic area is currently open as usual, but the suspension bridge project has been suspended.

The video was filmed on May 1 and provided with local media’s permission.
