A 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit the town of Wayao in the Longyang district of Baoshan City, Yunnan Province in southern China on May 2.

The video contains several clips of houses and animals affected by the tremors.

The earthquake caused damage to many residential buildings and basic infrastructure such as water, electricity, roads, and communication facilities in the affected areas.

As of 2 pm on May 3, the earthquake had injured 10 people, with nine having been discharged from the hospital and one still under observation.

All residents in the affected areas have been relocated to safe areas and various relief and resettlement work is underway.

A total of 2,805 houses were damaged, with 37,941 people evacuated to emergency shelters and 34 temporary shelters set up to provide relief to the affected population.

The video was filmed on May 2 and provided with local media’s permission.

5月2日23时27分，云南保山市隆阳区瓦窑镇(北纬25.35度，东经99.28度)发生5.2级地震，震源深度10千米。此次地震造成震中地区多处民房和水、电、路、通信等基础设施不同程度损坏。截至3日14时，地震造成10人受伤，其中9人已出院、1人留院观察。灾区民众已全部转移安置至安全地带，各项救灾安置工作正有序展开。
目前，云南省地震局、云南省应急厅、云南省森林消防总队派出专家组或人员，云南省消防救援总队调集德宏、怒江、大理、临沧消防救援力量已抵达地震现场开展工作。隆阳区瓦窑镇、水寨乡、板桥镇房屋受损2805间，紧急避险37941人，设置应急避险点34个，转移民众11090人。
