An unusual visit to the southwest England coast from a digitally but not optically hidden Royal Navy ship occurred at a seaside town on Thursday, May 4.

Part of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, the huge ship did not appear on any of the most popular shipping tracker apps on the day, according to Newsflare's filmer.

The Royal fleet Auxiliary RFA Tideforce is seen having dropped anchor two nautical miles from Newquay harbour. It is one of the largest ships serving in the Royal Navy at 39,000 tonnes and with a compliment of 109 sailors, marines and flight trainees.

A rib tender is seen transporting a small number of sailors to shore by docking at the Newquay harbour's South Quay leaving RFA Tideforce to quickly lift anchor and depart.
