Big Ben shines in incredible red and blue lights to mark Charles’ coronation

London’s iconic Elizabeth Tower, commonly known as Big Ben, was illuminated with special royal imagery on Thursday, May 4 in the run-up to the highly anticipated coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.

Roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrocks representing England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland were projected onto the tower. Lyrics from "God Save The King" and "Long May He Reign Glorious" were also projected onto the tower.

The coronation takes place on May 6.
