Thousands of supporters of the liberal 'Move Forward' party joined an election rally in Thailand.

A large crowd of around 10,000 screaming youths gathered at the Chao Por Saen Shrine in Chonburi province on May 3 to cheer on their electoral favourite.

Move Forward party leader Pita Limjaroenrat arrived to campaign for Warot Sirirak, the group's local MP candidate for Chonburi's District 1 Number 4.

The attendees, composed mostly of young voters and students, listened to the politicians' speeches as they were urged to vote for the Move Forward Party.

Among the campaign promises were improvements to people's livelihoods, increased pensions for the elderly, the removal of mandatory military conscription, and the separation of the military from politics.

Thailand will be holding its general elections on May 14.
