Friendly monkey picks lice from back of monitor lizard and eats them
A friendly monkey picked lice from the back of a monitor lizard and ate them.
The two creatures were seen sitting among the plants next to a canal in Bangkok, Thailand on January 6.
Footage shows the monkey removing parasites hiding under the reptile's scales before putting them in its mouth to snack on.
The lizard, on the other hand, laid still to let the primate do its job properly.
Onlooker Amallprapa Thongkumsai said: 'They appeared to have known each other. There was no tension between them, like old friends who saw each other again and decided to sit by a coffee shop to catch up.'
