One dead and more than 20 people were injured after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake, registering an upper 6 on the Japan Meteorological Agency’s 7-point scale, shook the Noto district of Ishikawa Prefecture on the Sea of Japan coast on Friday afternoon, May 5.

Mitsukejima, a scenic place in the Noto Peninsula, Ishikawa, part of the island collapsed due to the shaking of the earthquake.

This video shows the moment the island collapses and an earthquake warning is heard.
