According to Caralyn, Charles does not howl to ambulance or police sirens but only to the sound of the firetruck siren. Whenever Charles hears the sound of a firetruck siren, he gets caught up in his own head and forgets that anyone is around. He will start singing his best siren sound, just like he is part of the fire department.

Charles' howling has become a source of entertainment for Caralyn's fiance, who works from home. He will randomly hear howling, and sure enough, Charles will be outside, singing his heart out. Charles' love for howling to firetruck sirens has become so famous that many people have shared his videos on social media platforms, where they have gone viral.

Caralyn has even bigger dreams for Charles. She hopes that one day he will get to ride on a firetruck and howl to the siren, just like a real fire department dog.
