Newborn kittens are cute and adorable, but they can also be quite competitive when it comes to food. This was recently captured on video by @miasyaffa on 19th October, 2023 in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, where a mother cat with four kittens was observed.

In the video, two of the kittens can be seen playfully fighting over one breast, presumably because it had more milk than the other ones. The kittens were pawing at each other, trying to push each other away. The mother cat seemed unbothered by the commotion and simply watched over her litter.

While this behavior may seem concerning to some, it is actually quite common among newborn kittens. In the wild, kittens must compete with their siblings for food in order to survive. This competition helps to ensure that the strongest and most capable kittens receive the nutrition they need to grow and develop properly.
