A CCTV shows the seconds when a protective tree with a length of 20 meters and a diameter of 80 centimeters on the main road of the Padang city fell due to strong winds, Monday (08 May 223).

the head of the Padang City disaster management division, Basril said "evacuating the victim who was hit by a tree took approximately 5 minutes, because we focused on cutting tree branches near the victim, after being successfully removed from the wooden clamp, the victim was immediately rushed to the hospital, and was reported dead after get to the hospital."

basril added "trees protecting the edge of the main road in the city of Padang suddenly fell because of a rainstorm that hit the city of Padang, currently there are four points of fallen trees blocking access roads and damaging power lines,".

the local government reminded the public about the dangers of strong winds and heavy rain which are predicted to continue kicking in the future.
