Justice for Wyandotte, a community activist group, organized a protest in Kansas City, Kansas to demand justice for Amaree'ya Henderson, a Black man who was killed during an officer-involved shooting on April 26, 2023. The group is calling for the Kansas City Kansas police to release the bodycam footage of the shooting, which they have so far refused to do.

During the protest, Nikki, a member of Justice for Wyandotte, read a letter from Amaree'ya's family demanding the release of the bodycam footage. The family believes that the footage will reveal the truth about what happened during the shooting and hold the police accountable for their actions.

The protest on Saturday (May 6) was attended by members of the community who are demanding transparency and accountability from the police department. Justice for Wyandotte hopes that their actions will put pressure on the police department to release the bodycam footage and provide answers to Amaree'ya's family and the community.
