Storm chaser labels pursuit of tempest battering Kentucky 'terrifying but fun'
A storm chaser labelled his pursuit of a tempest that was battering Paducah, Kentucky, as "terrifying but fun".
Newsflare member NewTornadoAlley filmed as they ventured round the city as winds over 80 mph lashed the area.
They said: "I cannot sleep while there is a chance of a nighttime tornado so what do I do? Well, I face my fears and go to the edge of the Ohio River in downtown Paducah, KY, and fly my drone amongst the lightning all the while knowing that 80 + mph winds are headed my way.
"It's a love-hate relationship with me and storms. I was injured in a tornado here in McCracken County in 2019 so now I see the storm before it sees me.
"I was bit once by a tornado, never again. Here is a video of a wild storm overnight on May 9. It was terrifying but fun."
