A resident in the heart of Washington D.C. got the surprise of a lifetime when she was greeted by the President of the United States and the Vice President in front of her building on May 5. "As I started to hear tons of chatter and commotion from my living room I peeked outside to see a large crowd of people blocked off and a huge amount of press. I immediately pulled out my phone with no expectations of who was inside of my building. Seconds later I was greeted by the POTUS and VP!!" the resident exclaimed.

According to the resident, the encounter was surreal and unexpected. "Not only was I greeted by the POTUS, he gave me a silly comment by telling me 'not to jump' in the excitement. VP Harris proceeded to point and wave at me again," she said. "This moment was so surreal because earlier that morning I saw 3 men in suits scoping the location at my apartment but again it’s DC, people work I didn’t think anything of it. Two hours later I learned that those men were apart of the Secret Service. I am just so happy that I got my own personal wave and joke from POTUS and VP! I will cherish this moment."
