STORYLINE:
An Egypt-brokered ceasefire went into effect in the Gaza Strip at 10:00 pm tonight ending a five-day Israeli conflict on the besieged enclave which claimed the lives of 33 Palestinians, predominantly civilians.
The Israeli conflict killed 33 Palestinians, including six children and three women, and resulted in the injury of 190 others, the majority of them are children and women.
A total of 51 housing units were completely destroyed, while 1,000 housing units were partially damaged, of which about 50 units were rendered uninhabitable.
