Cyclone "mocca" effect: Sea receded in the Nagapattinam area leaving boats grounded

Location Nagapattinam, Tamilnadu India

The fishing boats parked along the coast were grounded as the sea water receded in Nagapattinam in India. Due to the Cyclone 'Mocca",  winds are blowing in the Bay of Bengal and Gulf of Mannar region due to this, sea receded up to 500 meters in Nagapattinam beach area. All the algae, grasses, and rocks in the sea were visible. Also fisherman in this region got panicked.

Similarly, as the sea water receded the country boats were grounded. All the boats were towed and anchored safely to the shore. While towing them, damages are bound to occur. Without repairing the boats cannot be used, said a fisherman who was busy towing his boat.
